In July, the average home price in Vancouver rose 0.6% compared to June and sales surged by 28.9% to 2,455, according to the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver. New supply also increased with 4,649 new listings last month. The increase in sales was a result of many would-be buyers returning to the market after a policy rate increase last year. Calgary also saw record home sales in July with an 18% increase over the same month last year.
